At Tudor House in Ashtead we have several hygienists who specialise in preventive oral health. They are fully trained in all aspects of dental hygiene, providing treatment and personalised advice on achieving and maintaining good oral health.
Our hygienists play a key role in helping you to prevent or combat gum disease. This condition is on the increase and can have serious consequences if left untreated. It is caused by bacteria in plaque – a colourless, sticky film that constantly forms on your teeth.
The hygienist will gently remove any plaque from your teeth, together with tartar, which is a hardened form of plaque. They will give your teeth a polish, making them feel fresh and clean and making it more difficult for the plaque to stick to them.
Our hygienists can also offer you advice about how best to care for your teeth and gums including an effective daily cleaning routine coupled with advice on following a healthy diet for dental health.
We recommend regular visits to see a hygienist which is usually on a private basis. Please get in touch if you would like to book an appointment.
